18th December Our planned XMAS PARTY in ESSEX tomorrow has been cancelled due to illness.  Apologies to everyone, we were really looking forward to it.  In all the years I've been gigging, I've never had to cancel a show through being sick, so I'm personally gutted!

13th December We have just been informed that we have been voted the 7th BEST BAND of HARD ROCK HELL II.  That is quite an achievement.  There were 47 bands on the bill including us, virtually ALL of them much bigger bands.  Couple that with the fact that we were on the middle stage AND we had an early stage time, that is pretty impressive!

NOVEMBER 2008
29th November We will be doing a video in the first week or two of 2009. Jan 9th, I believe, is the proposed date. We are working with acclaimed B-Movie director, JOHNNY CRASH (look him up on IMDB) and the vid will be to the opening track on the album, "Sex, Drugs & Heavy Metal". It is going to be a riot of technicolour B-movie bad ass so we will keep you posted on that!

28th November We are having our XMAS PARTY SHOW at THE HERMiT in ESSEX on FRi DEC 19th.  The Hermit was one of the first venues to really embrace SLT so we thought we would celebrate our great year with some close friends.

25th November Well, the good news is that the album is selling really well.  REALLY well.  HMV keeps selling out!  Finally, they took the hint and have ordered enough that should keep them going for a while and it is now in more stores.  Anyway, thought it might be handy to tell you exactly where to buy it. I know loads of you have it on your Xmas lists so might want to pass the info on to whomever is buying it for you. I know loads more are buying it for their friends and family for Xmas, and I know a helluva lot more just cannot be fucked to wait for Xmas and WANT IT NOW!!  So here is where you can get it:

Although why anyone would want to download it when, for a similar price you can get the physical and dwell in it's sexiness is beyond me!

I hope that stops some of the problems some of you have been having. If you are still undecided, do one of two things: a) have a brain transplant or b) read these comments we've been getting and just buy it!!

18th August The shoot for our video should be happening on 4th September in a secret location in Surrey.  The video will be for our October single release and will feature everything you would want in an SLT video... SLT, sex, subversion and cool cars!

8th August Gig Cancellations: we have had to cancel our small tour of the Netherlands (due to start September) as we will be needed in the UK to make videos and promote our forthcoming single (out October 20th).  Apologies to everyone who will have to wait to see us, we promise to re-schedule as soon as we can!

4th August MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT:

We have been talking with several labels for a while now but decided to make our home with Indie label TRANSCEND MEDiA GROUP (also home to Fields Of The Nephelim & Belisha).  We are as excited by them as they are with us.  They are a forward thinking label that totally understand the SPiT LiKE THiS ethos.

Our debut single will be out on October the 20th followed by our debut album, titled "WE WON'T HURT YOU (BUT WE WON'T GO AWAY".  Distribution by both will be via CARGO.  We will have more information soon.

31st May MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT:

We have taken on a Manager - GARY RAYMOND from RTB MANAGEMENT.  Gary is also the manager of KOOPA, the Punk trio who, last year, took the industry by storm by being the first ever unsigned band to enter the UK Top 40.  We are looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together with Gary!

Secondly, we now have an Agent, RiCHARD SMiTH at NICE IDEA PRODUCTiONS LTD.  All future bookings will be made via Richard and, more importantly for us, you should see us on some impressive bills supporting major bands in countries around the world!

28th May Download an exclusive from our album-to-be!  THE BEERMAN, DJ for PARADiZE RADiO debuted us on his show on 25th May.  You can listen to the whole show here or just the SPiT LiKE THiS bit here.  He played "Coming After You", "Sleaze Sells...But Who's Buying?" and "Trick Or Mistreat".  He also said some very nice things about us.  From his blog: "As I mentioned the quality of the debut artists this week was utterly amazing with the first debut artist SPiT LiKE THiS proving hugely popular with the listeners, they are an amazing band with a unique sound that does not fail to impress, they are already hugely acclaimed on the rock scene and helllllllll an excellent addition to The Beermans playlist judging by the listeners reaction you will be hearing alot more from them on my show in the coming months.  It is in writing this blog I received a message from Spit Like This and hellllllllllll yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh though they missed the show they gain the accolade of outstanding reason for missing The Beerman Show to quote 'we had to pop out and meet Right Said Fred (long story)...' 26th May Life doesn't get much stranger than this!  Last week we had an email from a nice lady called Dawn - the PA to RiGHT SAiD FRED.  They had seen our "I'm So Sexy I Shit Right Said Fred" T-shirts (available for just £12.99 from our SMELLYOURMUM.COM merch site!!) and wanted some of their very own.  Well, last night me (ZiON) and ViKKi were ViP'd at one of their shows in London and here we are, with Fred & Richard resplendent in their new tops.. 22nd May It is a sad day in the history of SPiT LiKE THiS - our beloved hearse, The Boner, is up for sale on eBay.  It needs a load of work done on it and, due to our commitments, if we keep it, it will just sit around continuing to rot.  It deserves a better life than that, so it is time for it to have a new home.  The end of an era.

12th May We have been moved to the MAiN STAGE of the SKiN DEEP TATTOO JAM in August.  This is great news for us as it means that we open up for none other than THE WiLDHEARTS!  Way back when SLT started, GiNGER's encouragement for our music helped us realise that we were onto a winner.  For us to now open for him is one of those full-circle experiences that make being in this band so fucking exciting!  If you haven't got them already, visit the TATTOO JAM WEBSiTE and get your tickets!

14th April It's just been announced that ViKKi and ZiON (me) will be making a Personal Appearance at this year's DOWNLOAD FESTiVAL!  We will be appearing as Special Guests of one of our main endorsements, PEAVEY.  We will be on their stand for all 3 days, signing autographs, meeting & greeting and generally hanging out.

25th February Our gig at THE TEK last Friday was crazy.  Within moments, the venue was packed to capacity.  A couple of hundred people were stranded outside unable to get in.  The whole of our show was filmed from the audience - we have uploaded two clips showing four songs RiGHT HERE

24th February Got an amazing review from our recent gig at DiABLESSE from ORGAN mag: "Spit Like This are a defiantly healthy shock rock throw back. Four of them, looking good and sounding even better. Classic punked-up no messing shock-rocking glam metal stomp – think Madam X, early Crue, Wolfsbane, Misfits, Alice Cooper, early days of Poison, Twisted Sister (before things got all MTV slick), think all that and stick in a great big blender with some London X factor, shake it all up, stir it just a little and throw it all right back up along with all the fake stage blood and the soiled tampon damage. Painted leather, big black hair, even bigger attitude - smoke machines, riffs, fluorescence colour, Ant-beats, lurid skulls, theatrics and everything as over the top as it could possibly be – no one does it quite like Spit Like This! Horror glam punk rock is what they call it and on stage is where it all comes to larger than life reality. This is not twee indie music for the faint hearted! Lord Zion up front demanding attention, Vikki Spit driving things with her meaty bass lines, Cyndi Rott with the punk-metal riffs and Vile Gilez banging the beat. – the four of them are just one big brash shock-metal riot-ball rolling right on at you and assaulting all your senses at once... 18th February Gig Announcements: We have been asked to play at FET-X MAGAZiNE'S FET-XPO in DORTMUND, GERMANY on APRiL 11th, 12th & 13th.  This is the first ever Fet-Xpo - Germany's Biggest Fetish Fair!  Unfortunately, this will mean RE-SCHEDULiNG of our planned gigs at the RAiLWAY (12th) and DOWNTOWN DiNER (13th)

16th January Hope you are enjoying the new look website!  There is still lots for me to do but the bulk of it has now been done.  Keep your eyes peeled for new stuff added daily though.  I am also re-vamping our street team website.  As well as re-vamping it, we have changed the name of our street team to STREET SQUADRON.  It has grown so much, it really is like a small army, full of Squadrons.  Over time it will develop so there are Squadron Leaders etc.  It is still very much "under construction" but you can view the site here.  And, if you haven't signed up yet, why not?!

13th January Gig Announcement: we are opening for HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, one of the biggest bands from Sweden, this SAT 19th JAN at the INTAKE CLUB in MANSFiELD, NOTTS.  Also on the bill are fellow Swedes CRAZY LiXX.  This gig is especially cool for us as, it was at a HCS gig that, in between throwing up everywhere, I decided to quit the band I was in to start SLT with Vikki!

13th January The website and myspace are having a major facelift.  For the next week or so, it might look a bit funny in places and some stuff might not work properly.  Bear with me, I'm going as fast as I can!  Normal service will be resumed ASAFP

9th January Appearing in the shops any day now is the Jan/Feb issue of ALTERNATiVE MAGAZiNE featuring a track off our new album on the CD Covermount!  "Top Of The World" is the song in question - one of our personal favourites.  The mag looks like the image below, easily found as it says SPiT LiKE THiS on the front somewhere!
